Day 2: Delhi to Agra – Taj Mahal & More
After breakfast, drive to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway (approx. 3-4 hours). Upon arrival, meet your local guide and begin exploring the Mughal city.
Start with the Agra Fort, a majestic red sandstone fortress and former residence of Mughal emperors. Then visit the Taj Mahal, the world-famous symbol of love built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Your guide will reveal the romantic history and intricate craftsmanship of this white marble wonder.
Optionally, visit Mehtab Bagh for a sunset view of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River or explore local marble inlay workshops.
Overnight stay in Agra.
Day 3: Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
Begin the day with an optional sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal (if you didn't go the previous evening). After breakfast, depart for Jaipur, stopping en route to explore Fatehpur Sikri, the fascinating abandoned Mughal city built by Emperor Akbar. See its grand mosque, courtyards, and palaces frozen in time.
Continue driving to Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, and check into your hotel. In the evening, you may choose to explore local bazaars or enjoy a cultural show or dinner at a heritage haveli.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing – Return to Delhi
After breakfast, set out to explore the royal capital of Rajasthan. Begin with the Amber Fort, perched on a hill with panoramic views. Explore its grand halls, mirror palace, and courtyards. You can ascend the fort by jeep or walk.
Stop at the Jal Mahal (Water Palace) for a photo opportunity, then visit the City Palace, a stunning blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture that still houses the royal family. Just next door is the Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Take a photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), known for its intricate pink façade, and optionally visit local markets famous for jewelry, textiles, and handicrafts.
In the afternoon or early evening, drive back to Delhi (approx. 5–6 hours), where your tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
